On Ulule, you can always pay by bank card. Depending on the campaign and your device, other payment methods may be available: the ones shown on the payment page are the only ones available for the campaign you are backing.
Which payment methods are available?
- Bank card, on every campaign: CB, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Bancontact… Both French and foreign cards work.
- Apple Pay, on Safari, Mac, iPhone or iPad: for a contribution with rewards or a one-off donation, on a campaign in euros.
-
Depending on the project:
- iDEAL, for Dutch projects;
- bank transfer, when it is enabled for the project; it is no longer offered during the last 5 days of the campaign.
These options cannot be activated from your account. If they don't appear when you pay, they are not available for this campaign.
What about a campaign in Canadian dollars (CAD)?
You can only pay by bank card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB).
What about a subscription or a monthly donation?
Subscriptions and monthly donations can only be paid by bank card. Your card is then charged every month.
Which payment methods are not available?
- Google Pay, Paylib and SEPA direct debit.
- Cryptocurrency payments (Bitcoin, Ethereum…).
- Cheques online: cheques only exist as offline contributions. In that case, contact the project team directly; they record your contribution themselves.
How does card payment work?
- At the last step of your contribution, choose card payment.
- Enter the card number, expiry date and security code in the secure form (Bancontact cards are entered in the same form).
- If your bank asks, confirm the payment (3D Secure) in your banking app or with the code received by text message.
For other payment methods (iDEAL…), you are redirected to a secure page to confirm the payment, following the instructions shown.
Is there a limit?
- For payments in euros, a single card cannot exceed €10,000 in payments (limit set by our payment provider).
- Above €1,000, you may be asked for proof of identity.
If you live outside Europe or North America, some countries are not authorised by our provider for payments in euros: see the list on the Mangopay website.
What if my payment fails?
First check the details you entered, then read I have a payment problem: browser, ad blockers, security code, limit or block set by your bank. If the problem persists, contact Ulule support.
