What is Ulule’s commission?

Ulule charges a commission rate only for the sums collected by projects who have successfully reached their funding objective. No commission is applied if ever a project does not reach its objective and the funds are refunded to the backers.

Ulule's commission for successful projects that collect money in another currency than euro is 6.67% (value added tax non included) for all funds received by credit card and 4.17 (VAT non included) for all funds received by check.

For projects that collect funds in euro, Ulule’s commission rate for collected funds inferior to a total amount of €100 000 is of:

  • 6.67% (value added tax non included) for all funds received by credit card,
  • 4.17 (VAT non included) for all funds received by check.

The Value Added Tax (VAT) depends on the project creator’s country location. If the project creator is an individual based in the European Union (EU), the VAT of their country of residency is applied to this commission. If the project creator is an individual based outside the EU, no VAT is applicable.

In the United Kingdom, with a VAT rate of 20%, Ulule’s total commission fee (all tax included) is thus of:

  • 8% (VAT included) for all funds received by credit card,
  • 5% (VAT included) for all funds received by check.

For all other EU countries, we invite you to read this page to find out the VAT that corresponds to your country.

For all projects that raise over €100 000, Ulule’s commission rate depends on the amount of collected funds as well as on the payment methods used by contributors. The commission rate is calculated by levels:
